Service Coordinator – Equipment

Job Purpose
The Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the activities of the service department to ensure efficient operation, customer satisfaction, and profitability of the assigned service department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and monitor service reception activities to maintain performance standards and customer satisfaction.
  • Provide customers with technical and product-specific information and explain work completed by the service department.
  • Develop and enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for service processes.
  • Coordinate and control consumables ordering, issuance, and stock management.
  • Motivate, monitor, and supervise technicians to maximize productivity and service profitability.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction reports and develop service offers targeting new customers and fleet companies.
  • Prepare and submit performance and operational reports to management.
  • Ensure smooth day-to-day operation of the service department.
  • Support business growth through excellent customer service and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in service operations.
  • At least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Experience in truck service operations is required.
  • Previous automotive industry experience is required.

Ideal Candidate

A candidate with a mechanical/engineering background, experience managing workshop or service operations, supervising technicians, and working within the automotive, truck, heavy equipment, or industrial service sector. This role combines technical knowledge, customer service, team leadership, and operational management.
