Job Purpose
The role is responsible for growing and managing merchant relationships within the FlexiPay ecosystem by acquiring new merchants, increasing platform usage, improving customer retention, and driving revenue growth. The position serves as the link between customers, relationship teams, product teams, and operational units to maximize profitability and customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Deliver revenue and portfolio growth targets in line with approved budgets.
- Convert leads generated through Business Banking, Personal Banking, Corporate Banking, and other business units.
- Identify and pursue new merchant acquisition opportunities.
- Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline through prospecting and customer engagement.
- Conduct customer visits, joint sales calls, and field engagements.
Merchant Acquisition & Onboarding
- Manage the full merchant acquisition lifecycle:
- Prospecting
- Sales
- Onboarding
- Activation
- Retention
- Ensure smooth onboarding and adoption of FlexiPay solutions.
- Support merchants to maximize usage of the platform.
Relationship Management
- Build and maintain long-term relationships with merchants.
- Act as the primary contact for assigned merchants.
- Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate digital payment solutions.
- Coordinate with Relationship Managers and Business Bankers to deepen customer relationships.
Platform Performance & Customer Adoption
- Monitor merchant activity and platform utilization.
- Analyze operational and customer experience issues.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
- Drive increased transaction volumes and customer engagement.
Stakeholder Management
- Work closely with:
- Relationship Managers
- Merchant Solutions Service Consultants
- Digital Banking Teams
- Product Teams
- Operations

- Marketing
- Coordinate initiatives aimed at improving acquisition and retention.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in:
- Business Administration
- Commerce
- Finance
- Accounting
- Related business field
Experience
- 5–7 years of relationship management experience.
- Experience as:
- Business Banker
- Relationship Manager
- Merchant Acquisition Manager
- SME Banker
- Corporate Relationship Officer
- Experience engaging customers at different organizational levels.
- Strong understanding of banking products and financial solutions.
- Experience in:
