Job Summary
The Program Officer will support the Program Manager in coordinating and managing STRIDES project activities, ensuring implementation is efficient, on schedule, within budget, and compliant with donor and organizational requirements. The role involves project planning, monitoring, reporting, stakeholder coordination, problem-solving, and ensuring smooth collaboration between program, operations, and finance teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Support project planning, annual workplans, implementation, and performance tracking.
- Coordinate project meetings and follow up on action points.
- Monitor project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare reports, dashboards, tracking sheets, and project documentation.
- Coordinate with finance, operations, and program teams to ensure seamless implementation.
- Manage stakeholder communications and project updates.
- Identify and escalate project risks and implementation challenges.
- Support donor reporting and contractual deliverables.
- Promote project management best practices and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Health, Nutrition, International Development, Social Sciences, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree in Management, Public Health, or related field preferred.
- Project Management Certification is an added advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 6 years of relevant project management experience.
- At least 2 years of line management experience.
- Experience managing or supporting US Government-funded projects.
- Experience in NGOs, government agencies, or private-sector development programs.
- Global Health Security, malaria, nutrition, or related health project experience is desirable.
