About PPDA

The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) is established under the PPDA Act Cap 205 to regulate procurement and disposal practices across public entities in Uganda, including government ministries, local governments, state enterprises, constitutional bodies, statutory authorities, and post-primary training institutions.

PPDA is seeking a qualified, competent, and highly motivated staff member to fill the position of Office Administrator.

Position Details

Job Title: Office Administrator
Reports To: Regional Manager
Department: Performance Monitoring – Regional Offices
Location: PPDA Regional Office

Job Summary

The Office Administrator will be responsible for creating a positive brand impression of the Authority through exceptional customer service delivery at the front desk, online, and via telephone. The role serves as the first point of contact for members of the public visiting the regional office.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Address queries and attend to walk-in clients.
  • Greet and direct visitors, answer telephone inquiries, and handle complaints professionally and courteously.
  • Ensure office supplies are adequately maintained by monitoring inventory levels and coordinating with suppliers.
  • Provide courier services where applicable for the Regional Office.
  • Support Senior Performance Monitoring Officers in the preparation of reports.
  • Maintain confidentiality and security of files and filing systems.
  • Coordinate schedules, arrange meetings, distribute memos and reports, and ensure staff remain informed of relevant organizational updates.
  • Perform any other duties assigned from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in any of the following fields:

  • Human Resource Management
  • Social Sciences
  • Development Studies
  • Social Work and Social Administration (SWASA)
  • Business Administration
  • Organizational Psychology
  • Or any other related discipline

Experience

  • Minimum of one (1) year of relevant experience in a reputable organization.
