About the Employer
The Public Procurement and Disposal of Public Assets Authority (PPDA) is a statutory body established under the PPDA Act Cap 205 to regulate public procurement and disposal practices in Uganda. The Authority oversees procurement activities across government ministries, departments, local governments, state enterprises, constitutional bodies, statutory agencies, and post-primary training institutions.
PPDA is inviting applications from qualified and highly motivated Ugandan graduates for its Graduate Training Programme.
Position Details
Job Title: Graduate Trainee – Procurement and Disposal Unit
Department: Finance
Reports To: Officer, Procurement and Disposal Unit
Department Head: Director Finance
Location: PPDA Headquarters
Contract Duration: One (1) Year Non-Renewable Contract
Job Purpose
To support the Procurement and Disposal Unit in managing procurement and disposal activities effectively and efficiently while gaining practical experience in public procurement processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of bids for procurement and disposal processes.
- Support the preparation, administration, and issuance of approved contracts.
- Liaise with suppliers and stakeholders to facilitate timely delivery of goods and services.
- Assist in preparing Statements of Requirements and Bills of Quantities.
- Support preparation of contract performance status reports.
- Follow up with Procurement Agents on procurement activities.
- Carry out any other duties assigned by management from time to time.
Qualifications
Education
- Honors Bachelor’s Degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) in:
- Procurement
- Supply Chain Management
- Or a related field
Eligibility Requirements
- Must have graduated in 2025 or later.
- Must be below 26 years of age.
Experience
- No prior work experience required.
